I could talk about Like a Virgin and I could dance very well.
I could talk about Thalia and Latin Music.
But I have decided to talk about the greatest gospel singer in the world: Sandi Patty Helvering.
Sandi Patty Helvering, called 'The Voice', is a singer, a songwriter and a writer.
She was born in Oklahoma City on 12nd July, 1956, where her father was minister of music and her mother played piano in the church. When she was two years old, she sang for the first time at church the song "Jesus loves me". After that, Sandi Patty studied Music at San Diego University (Califórnia) and at Anderson University (Indiana). In the 60's, her voice was used by advertising jingles and recordings. In 1978, she recorded her first album (independent) called 'For my friends', that arrived in the SingSpiration! records executives' hands. In 1979, she recorded her first album by the company, called 'Sandi's Song'. After that, all of her songs were sucessful. But, it was 1986, with the release of the album 'Morning like this' and singing the song 'The Star Spangled Banner' during The Redectation of the Statue of Liberty, that she got to the top of top with eternal songs. Her songs still have been recorded by brazilians gospel singers as: Marina de Oliveira, Cristiane Carvalho, Eduardo & Silvana, Cristina Mel, Grupo Prisma, Jeanne Mascarenhas etc.
