Why Is 'The Confessions Tour' so acclaimed untill today?

Pleasure! My name is Raphael Paiva, I'm 26 years old and became a Madonna's fan through this tour in 2006, when the show was being broadcast on a subscription channel. The question I asked myself was "What are this old woman doing?". I was shocked at the attitude on stage, the way to deliver, the affectionate way of treating the public and the whole dynamic show that I had never seen before. From this day, I became a Madonna's fan.

"I want to transform the world into a giant dance floor."
[Madonna]

Madonna in this show manages to mix all in one: voice, use of instruments, spontaneous dance (eg.: Let it will be), choreography, dynamic on stage, dynamic with the dancers (eg.: Ray of Light), sexuality, eroticism, Religion and controversy (eg.: Live to tell). Madonna backs to the 70s with praise and makes Group ABBA and John Travolta (Saturday Night Fever) their bases for the fourth block (Disco).

What I admire about Madonna is that never be constant. Every year, every drive, every show, we have news, we have something different to watch. Based on the first three tours of Madonna and the three of the new millennium, today I analyze 'The Confessions Tour' as the 'Blond Ambition Tour' of 2000. For what reason? Madonna goes up, up, up, until it reaches its climax.

- The Virgin Tour:
"I got into the music scene. I follow orders! Let me do all right not to be expelled!"

- Who's that Girl World Tour:
"Ops! I think I can leave a bit of the script. I am known and they like me!"

- The Blond Ambition World Tour:
"I command! I'm the queen!"

- Drowned World Tour:
"I returned! I will not jump a lot for them not to be frightened!"

- Re-Invention World Tour:
"I'm back! Now let me re-enter on the world stage!"

- The Confessions Tour:
"The Queen has returned!"

You can not have the 'Blond Ambition Tour' and 'The Confessions Tour' as favorite, but, arguably, they are the differentials in Madonna's career.

Madonna learned to grow with your feet on the ground. She knew how to create polemics in the right and opportune moments. She learned to play with criticism. She did not come out creating songs and presenting things out of the blue. Imagine if she had released 'Erotica' in 1984, instead of 'Like a Virgin'!? Probably it would not have worked because it made no sense to play an erotic/romantic content of the album in the 80s. Imagine if Madonna had made a 'MDNA Tour' in 2001 instead of 'Drowned Tour'!? Probably would not have given the deserved return for each year of work. Each year has a different context and each album was very well exploited by Madonna.

Returning to the tour of the Confessions, it is divided into 4 blocks that come together precisely and without being tiresome. I need to highlight a few points:

- The show starts with the globe down and Madonna leaving. What a magnificent opening!

- After 13 years, we have the return of 'Like a Virgin', showing that Madonna's work has not aged and still live in their fans.

- The setting for the performance of 'Jump'.

- Madonna's crucifixion controversy that makes mention of poverty in Africa:

"A country called Malawi, Africa, is the theme for the fight against poverty released by Madonna on tour. It is the second poorest country in the world and suffers from poverty, disease, abandonment and almost all are infected by AIDS, syphilis, malaria etc. With about 12 million inhabitants, 30% are children infected with AIDS and living in poverty. Madonna and the Kabbalah Center donated $ 3 million to the project "Raising Malawi" to start an aid in the country. . It is also planned to build an orphanage for children who lost their parents."

- 'Like it or not': Do you want to make Madonna happy? Give a chair! When I ask because I like Madonna or I think she is the Queen of Pop, I simply reply: "A woman who can stir the people with a chair and a microphone deserves the title of Queen!"

- The spontaneity of 'Let it will be'.

- 'Music Inferno': for me, the best version of 'Music'. Choreography with skates and clothes 'Saturday Night Fever'. All precisely defined.

- 'Erotica/You Thrill Me': Madonna brings back the demo and in only one music she mixes sensuality, eroticism and ballet.

- 'La isla bonita': for me, the best performance ever. It also has the 'Stick and Sweet Tour', which is magnificent, but still prefer this.

- It 's said that in all new tour (post-2000), Madonna takes a good song and spoils. Sincerely, 'Lucky Star' confirmed this to me. In my opinion, it was meaningless. Madonna will grow on stage. In the ecstasy, it seems she says/thinks 'I'll get some rest!' and put 'Lucky Star'.

- The show terminates with a golden key to the sound of glorious 'Hung Up'.

In short: it is a show worth watching! Not only watched ... it should be enjoyed. Each part of the show should be sampled.
