REFLECTION | WHO'S AN IDIOT: ME OR HIM?
"You can beat 40 wise men with a single
argument,
but you can't beat an idiot with 40 facts!"
The problem with this kind of phrase is that
you might be in someone else's group of 'idiots.' You post this with a few people
in mind. And there will be people posting this with you in mind.
Ex.: Politics and politicians. I see many
people vigorously defending our 'representatives.' But let's be realistic: we,
the people, don't know even a tenth of what really goes on in the Chamber of
Deputies, the Senate, or the Presidency. We don't know what the relationship
between politicians is truly like. Do they act like they show in the videos?
"Lula is innocent!", "Lula is a thief!", "Bolsonaro
wanted coup d'état!", "Bolsonaro didn't
want coup d'état!" Who here got the files and read them? Who here stopped
to watch a few minutes of the interrogations? Let me guess: you didn't read the lawsuits, watch the
edited videos on social medias, and listen to that famous influencer's opinion?
I get it! It's okay! Most of the population did! But we
cling to one side of the story and defend it as if it were absolute truth, and
worse, we judge those who disagree with us.
In short: Let's get down off our high horse.
Nobody's perfect! Nobody knows everything!
